What is the Story Behind the Waalk?
Bringing iconic arts to Amble
The Bord Waalk is a fantastic array of physical sculptures, poetry, music and augmented reality designed to enthuse the creative, the inquisitive and inventive residents and visitors of Amble. The works have been produced by artists from all over Europe (including Amble). We hope you enjoy a visit to Bordwaalk and the beautiful coast and wildlife that has inspired the trail.
Bord Waalk is an initiative of Amble Development Trust
Amble Development Trust was formed in 1994, in response to locally identified issues highlighted by the community, it became a registered charity in 1995. The main objective of the Trust is to regenerate the town of Amble by securing funding to initiate a wide range of projects including major infrastructure and community development schemes.
